*Fees are based on initial inspection. Failed inspections for non-compliance will be charged a additional re-inspection fee.

OPEN AIR BURNING SEASON
JANUARY 15 — MAY 1

– RULES AND REGULATIONS –
M.G.L. Chap. 48

PERMIT FEE – $15.00

All fires must be at least 75 ‘ from any dwelling.

Materials shall not be piled to exceed a height of three (3) feet.

Shall not exceed a width of ten (10) feet and not to exceed n length of ten (10) feet.

Burning will be permitted only between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.

– All Fires to be Extinguished / Completely Out by 4:00 pm –

Note: In case of heavy winds or otherwise dangerous or environmental conditions, permits willbe invalid as provided by law.

Materials Permitted to Burn:
Tree Branches
Brush
Cane
Driftwood
Forestry Debris

Materials Not Permitted to Burn:
Leaves, Grass, Hay, Whole Trees
Stumps, Tires, Plastics, Paints,
Styrofoam, Household Trash,
Motor Oil, Building Materials,
Land Clearing for Building Sites.
